Yes. Murshid Companion is 100% free for subscribers and clinic patients. There are no subscriptions, ads, or locked features. The app is provided to enhance your care under your supervising dietitian.
Once you enter your clinic connection code, your dietitian publishes your customized nutrition plan directly to your phone. It populates immediately under the "My Plan" tab with meal items, calories, macros, and exchange choices.
Yes. The app is built with an offline-first architecture (encrypted on-device local database). You can inspect your diet, log water, and track meal adherence entirely offline. When your connection returns, the encrypted logs sync automatically with your clinic.
Simply open the meal card and tap "Swap Food". The app displays pre-approved ADA food group equivalents that match your target calories and macronutrients, letting you select an alternative on the fly.
You can delete your account at any time via Settings > Account Options > Delete Account (or through our web data deletion page). Deleting your account wipes your companion profile and unlinks all clinics. Please note that historical clinical records previously kept by your healthcare clinic remain under independent clinic custody, and you should contact your clinic directly to request medical record modifications.
Murshid Companion is currently undergoing final clinical and technical review stages in a closed beta with select certified dietitians and their patients. Public store downloads will unlock soon on Google Play and the App Store.
